<< (imagine if everyone did that?) >>
I've got to side with Valsalva on that issue. alwaysON, you are exactly like the people who cut in line at a movie theater or a restaurant. They always have some excuse, sob story, or otherwise petty rationalization about why they should get special treatment. But the truth is that they just don't care about following the rules that everybody else follows, and they, and you, feel entitled out of pure egoism.
I think, alwaysON, that you had the sympathy of a lot of posters because it can be a tough job market, but now that you admit that you A) aren't hurting financially, and B) haven't even started your job hunt yet, I think that you are shown for being the smug, above-it-all rule flouter that you are.
Ahem, the master plan hasn't worked out too well, has it? No job offers from this thread? Imagine that! Were you thinking that someone in a position to hire you would see this thread, grin and slap his head in a "Mentos moment," saying "oh, that rascally scamp--can't follow simple rules, but that out-of-the-box creativity is just the kind of employee I need!"
If you had been thinking rationally, posting your resume in this fashion would have been much more likely to result in your being harrassed (spammed, prank calls, XXX gay porn mailing lists, tracking down your job supervisors to act as surrogate child abuser parole officers), or even being punked-up by some irate Anandtecher out "wilding" on a Friday night.
In other words, genius, you would have to give out your name, address, phone number, etc. Care to post that now for everyone to see?
