Who would have thought? Prison Break has really hooked me.

I've always sort of had my eye on this series on Netflix streaming but I never got around to giving it a shot. I vaguely remember when it was on network TV and was intrigued even back then (breaking out of prison makes for inherently good drama), but a season or two had passed and I didn't want to jump in mid-stream.

Yesterday I woke up at 4 am with no hope of going back to sleep so I finally decided to give the pilot a try. I ended up watching 5 straight episodes.

It's not perfect by any stretch, and it's not the deepest thing out there (they use the same tension-building techniques over and over), but I'll be damned if it's not one of the most addicting shows I've watched in recent memory.

I watched 4 more episodes today. I thought the 2 part prison riot was pretty intense, even as I was groaning at myself for being drawn in by every prison cliche imaginable. When the big black dude and the crazy white guy were chasing the doc I kept on thinking of Resident Evil 5 for some reason. And the actor who plays the crazy white racist gives one of the best smooth, evil performances I've ever seen.

Highly recommended it you're bored of everything else and have Netfix.

A huge dropoff after season 1? So it's like The Walking Dead. That's too bad.

I'll still press on as much as I can. Sometimes I end up liking stuff everyone else hates. And I'll make sure to savor the first season.

Loved the first season. 2nd season got sort boring as it was the same type of stuff. The excitement of season 1 where it looks if hes going to be caught then something happens where they manage to get away with wasnt there anymore. Loved the Ferry Corsten Remix of the theme tune though

Yeah, first season is addicting for sure. I watched this on Netflix last summer and blew through Season 1 in just a few days. Season 2 wasn't that bad, but not nearly as good as the first. Then Season 3 starts really going down hill, but with a few memorable moments. But I continued watching until Season 4. Which I could only handle the first episode and lost interest.

But yeah, Season 1 is a must see. Awesome show.

Edit: BTW, not sure if they are still available on Netflix, but Day Break and Jericho were pretty solid TV shows if you finish PB and start looking for something else.

I agree Season one is one of the best seasons of any shows of that type (suspense/drama kind of show). Season two is okay, but starts to feel rehashed. Season 3+ I still enjoyed as time-filler, but it really deteriorates. The finale was pretty satisfying though, they give closure to the characters fairly well.

I stopped watching halfway through season 2. I knew there was a season 3. I never even realized there was a season 4 of it! I'd have thought they'd have exhausted all possible plot lines before that.

I kind got hooked on Supernatural. But seems like the trend now is making cop movies about ghosts and demons etc etc. Otherwise I enjoy my 26 Seasons of the Simpsons

Prison Break is good. I didn't hate season 2 like a lot of other people here, but season 3 wasn't very good. It would have been better if they had just done 3 seasons with 1, 2, 4.

Season 1 was awesome despite some glaring plot mistakes. Season 2 was still good but not as good as season 1. Season 3 was just ok. Season 4 sucked but there was a hottie in a few episodes.
