The poll on Drudge is 73 to 23 in Palin's favor. I think this forum is out of touch with the Real America.

This is how McCain will win in November and you'll be surprised. You live in an elitist intellectual bubble while Joe Six Pack is out doing middle class things, like voting. Obama just doesn't have enough experience. Enough experience being White, that is!

MSNBC had Biden winning by 79 percent. I bet you would find a higher number for Palin if Rush took it, and the same for Biden on Air America. The number you posted for Palin is precisely what one could expect from Drudge.

foxnews has it 43 palin -56 biden (56k votes)

the defining moment, for me, was whenever biden was talking about how he knows what it's like to struggle being a single father of two kids because his wife and daughter died... the way he said it and what he said and how he tied it all into the question was very powerful and kinda made it seem like palin better not even try to say anything to follow that and just let the moderator ask a new question.

What was weird is that right after that somber speech by Biden, they went to Palin who had the same "you betcha, by golly" tone she'd been maintaining the entire debate. Made her seem either oblivious or just unfeeling.

I think that Biden did a wonder job and made his point each and every time. He showed how
dedicated he is.

Palin well lets just say that she did come across as the home town girl, useing yall, mentioning Alaska in just about every breath. The only thing I could focus on is how blood shot her eyes were.

The OP is a mod :p

Well, and there is a debate thread, but that isn't quantitative. Notice I didn't lock the other thread :p

without a doubt, but biden easily put her in a situation to where she could, a) look like an idiot, or b ) force her to shut up and say, "well, i can't follow that"

a couple days ago, i was all excited about the debate and thought biden was going to slaughter this lipstick wearing bitch. but then i thought that the press might spin it to where biden was a big bully for making palin cry and run off stage. biden probably realized it and handled himself perfectly.

the only things i could really focus on was her smirky cross-bite and her bangs getting caught on her left eyelashes.

I was pleasantly surprised with the moderator, she did great.

Joe Biden came across well he was courteous and he spoke in a way that you could understand what he said, even if I disagreed, he sounded like a natural.

Palin did very well even though she sounded rehearsed and mechanical but she held her own and even gave Joe a couple of zingers.

I thought that both did very well, I thought it was a draw but wouldn't the draw go to Palin ;)

Ultimately, a draw.

Palin held her own better than expected. She will have given confidence to borderline Republicans who were starting to get nervous about her performance in recent interviews, even though Biden was the stronger debater.

It doesn't matter how much better Biden does... Palin wins just by holding her own. That's just the reality of the dynamics of this race.

Although she might score a few extra points for standing in these for 90+ minutes.

The Q of who won, Biden or Palin is fundamentally flawed. The top of the ticket is Obama/McCain.
In that, McCain def lost.

Palin saved herself from her disastrous trend, but in the end I don't her landing too many hard hits on Obama, and she was not all the effective at advocating McCain's positions. She will ingratiate herself to the "yokel-That's the guy/gal i want to have a beer with" Republican, but she really doesn't make a strong case to the middle class which is being pounded right now, or really convey a sense that he is really connected to them.

Biden did do this very well, and had a lot of substantive answers of plans to help them. I saw alot of jingoism and platitudes from Palin, but very light on substance.
Her style may be very effective in other years, but this is such a serious time right now, I don't think many voters are going to stampede to the narrative of Palin. They are looking for real plans and answers and McCain's camp fell short again.
This may have been McCain's best last shot of turning it around, and its not going to be good enough.

My take is that Biden won the debate hands down, however I think that Palin did more good for her party than Biden did for his. It's not that Biden was bad in any sense, just that many who wanted to vote for McCain were put off by the blathering of Palin with Courics interview. Now she's no rocket scientist, and she's no great debater, but she was able to put words into a coherent sentence. That may have calmed down a few jittery voters.

So how is it that the Drudge Report is so Pro-Republican? Are there any other Pro-Republican forums I can visit (I just wanna see how idiotic some of these Pro-McCain people get)

Drudge has always been pro-Republican. It started off as an anti-Clinton site in the mid-90s. Hell, he broke the Monica scandal IIRC.

Dear god. As a long time Biden fan, all I can say is damn he fucked her up. He did it softly and with subtlety, but he did it beautifully. She came across like a poor man's George Dubyla. She answered questions that weren't asked and rambled incoherently.

Biden has the best performance so far, with mccain far behind, obama a little behind mccain, and palin sucking water way at the bottom.

Biden nailed her so many times....

1 The reference to the bridge to nowhere on healthcare
2. saying "I didn't hear a plan" when she rambled about IRaq
3. Saying MCCAIN VOTED AGAINST FUNDING THE TROOPS to which she had NO RESPONSE :)!!
4. That emotional moment where he choked up and she had no idea how to respond
5. ABSOLUTELY KILLED HER FOR BEING AN IDIOT on the VP question. She said the VP role needs to be expanded! THAT REQUIRES A FUCKIN CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT YOU BOTTOMLESS WELL OF PLATITUDES! ANd biden slapped the shit out of her.

He was masterful. He tore her down softly, and tore down John McCain remorselessly, moreso than obama did in that last debate. HE said he wasn't a maverick. He said he was like bush. He gave examples.

To say Palin even came close is a laughable statement. She was bizarre and overrehearsed and... SHE's DUMBER THAN BUSH.

Biden = king

Biden fans had to love the "bridge to nowhere" dig, even if Joe did almost crack up saying it...

You knew that was going to make it in somewhere. I was hoping Palin would get to it first.
