I would believe that if Kerry wins the election, the Dems will probably pick up the Senate too. The house is probably too far out of reach though.

conjur, don't you think it is time you made your switch official and just file for democrat already?

Why should I when my views fit mostly with the conservatives of the Republican party? I care not one bit for the neocons, hence my hatred of the current administration.

Affiliation: Democrat - Fiscally Moderate and Socially Libertarian. I have supported Republicans in the past but after the impeachment and the disaster that is GWB, I am now strongly in the Democratic camp. I believe that Kerry/Edwards will win :)
Kerry/Edwards 50-51%
GWB/Cheney 48-49%
Nader/Camejo about 0.7 - 1%

Ohio flips to the Democrats, not sure about Florida. Edwards makes NC close but GWB carries NC. The Senate stays Republican as does the House.

The Election futures market has 'em dead even as of 7/7/04. Interesting turn of events since Bush had been favored by 8-10 points or so for almost the entire season. Guess the Edwards pick is really helping Kerry out.

What have the Democrats done? And prove it with supporting evidence, don't just repeat your republican talking points.

Because I despise the neocons I'm a liberal?

Now is a bad time to be naming names as most Republican Senators and others high up in the party are rallying around their guy because it's election time.

However, I will say I used to have a lot of respect for McCain (wanted him to win the 2000 primaries) and Powell (before he allowed himself to be summarily ignored and ridiculed by the neocons.) I wanted Powell to run in 2000 and I would have LOVED seeing him break away from the administration and run against Bush in a primary run this year. ;)

Arlen Specter is another good Republican as well as Richard Lugar.

I also regretted Paul O'Neill's firing from his position as Treasury Secretary.

He was asking for which conservative policies you are a proponent.

No, he wasn't.

If so, I'll leave that for bozack to clarify...provided he feels like coming back. He won't answer my questions to him in another thread as it is.
