Probably missing some combinations here..so help me fill in the gaps.

Are there any possibilities that one of Ohio St./Michigan doesn't make it to the final?

I'm going to call Michigan/USC after USC closes out the season against a touch schedule.

OSU is going to get their world rocked after Michigan comes to visit and beats them by 10.

If you were to ask the national media, it's already OSU vs. whoever.

We'll see November 18th.

If UM and OSU play a close game on the 18th, don't be surprised if you see a rematch. It is dependant on what the human polls drop the loser to. If I were an Ohio State fan (god forbid), I know I would be pretty pissed about dropping far if my only loss was a close game to the #1 team in the country.

Michigan is projected to have the 4th toughest schedule in the nation at seasons end. OSU the 11th. Only USC will have played a tougher schedule and I honestly don't see them winning all four games against Oregon, Cal, ND and UCLA. The computer polls tend to give more credence to teams with a highly rated SOS. That is why Michigan is ranked #1 in all but one computer poll.

By the same token, if USC does win out, they're probably the most surefire fill-in for the nc game. Of course wins over Oregon, Cal, and and ND would propel them way up in the computer rankings (3 top 20 teams), and their loss to Oregon State would pretty much be nullified.

With the way the BCS rankings work I believe there are only five teams remaining that have the possibility of playing in the BCS title game (providing there are no major upsets still to come).
1) Ohio State - No need to comment
2) Michigan - See above
3) USC - If they win out there is no way Florida remains ranked ahead of them
4) Florida - I think the only shot they have is if USC loses to Cal, because I believe ND would jump them if ND defeats a one loss USC, and I don't really think they can get by Arkansas in the SEC title game anyway.
5) Notre Dame - Must win out and defeat an otherwise one loss USC to get the necessary boost

Still the OSU/Michigan rematch wildcard remains though.

Lot's of OSU haters. As a um hater I think Troy and the boys will put on a scoring clinic and knock Hene out of the game. I have to respect Hart and co. but my boys Pittman and Wells will provide a stiff test against that rush D that's getting the headlines.

Oh man, this week is gonna be huge.

Honestly I don't think USC can win out and I think Ark thumps Fla in the SEC champ game. So I think it comes down to OSU/Ark, OSU/ND or yes, OSU/tsun.

It's so funny living in the real world... far far far away from the schools with a chance for a BCS championship.

From my persepective, there is OSU and Michigan and then there is everyone else. The game on 11/18 is the national championship as far as I'm concerned. Unless that game is a total blow out... I'm not sure who else would desreve a shot at the title.

GD drunk eyes. That'll do it to you. I voted. OSU will win against Michigan next weekend and Florida will win the SEC championship for the OSU/Florida championship.

It's interesting that USC is winning among people who think Ohio State will win. Of people who think Michigan will win, Florida is winning.

So after this weekend's shakeup, who do you think will be in the top 10? I got:

OSU
Michigan
USC
Florida
Arkansas
Notre Dame
Rutgers (Nice season, but don't get too used to this spot)
WVU (They should have trashed Louisville, will slaughter Rutgers)
Wisconsin (Most overlooked team in America?)
Boise State (As long as they keep winning...)

FFS people I will bet you $100 each that Rutgers does not play in the BCS title game.

There is no way.

Its the winner of OSU vs. Michigan next weekend and then?????

1) USC, if they win out they deserve it
2) Arkansas, I honestly think they will win out and if USC loses they are in...
3) Florida...if they win out and USC loses they are in
4) loser of OSU vs Michigan :)

I honestly don't think ND should have a chance, even winning out, seeing as they would have to move ahead of Michigan who just embarrassed them earlier in the year

No one will take that...

Literally every other 1 loss team would have to lose...which is impossible with OSU and Michigan both being undefeated and only having one game left against each other

EDIT: I just noticed...how did 7 people actually vote for Rutgers???

Using that logic though you'd have to throw out USC and Arkansas as well. Notre Dame only got beat by #2, while USC lost to an unranked, and Arkansas got thumped by USC.

The real problem is what are probably the two best teams are going to play each other so very late in the season. It's just hard to justify a rematch in so close a time frame, had they played a close game early on you could argue "well they (the loser) have had time to come together/heal/improve/etc. as the season has went on". Who knows what will happen, I wouldn't personally want to see a rematch though between them. There is always the different match up angles too. For example, let's just assume Ohio State really is the "best" team overall and Michigan really is the second best team. It's entirely plausible that because of individual match ups the #3/4/5 team could handle Ohio State where the #2 team couldn't even if all teams were performing to their potential.
