Who will now get an X1950 Pro?

because of the image quality issues with the R600. I know this can be solved with driver updates. As a matter of fact, the performance can be increased with new drivers. But, are you dissapointed enough that you'd buy an X1950 Pro instead?

What are the advantages of waiting for driver updates and still buying an R600? I mean, the R600s will be able to play 1080p at full speed right?

what about those of us already with a x1950p that are thinking of an upgrade? 😛

i want something that is twice faster ... and DX10 capable
limited choice

Personally, I'm looking for a x1950pro, x1950xt, or x1900xt. I figure there will be some upgrades in the near future and those cards still have a very good performance/price ratio. The R600 just doesn't offer enough performance to justify the purchase for me. I almost always stay a generation behind on the video components. But right now, I'm way behind (x800xl).

So... if anyone with a 512MB card is looking to upgrade.... 🙂

Already have an X1950Pro, and won't be upgrading anytime soon as there are no new games I'm interested in. There are announced games that I'd like to try, but since release dates often get pushed back by years there is no point in even thinking about what hardware I might need.

What image quality issues? The r600 still has regular 2x, 4x and 8x MSAA available if you don't like the blurry CFAA modes.

What about the AVIVO performance? Does anyone with an HD2900 want to comment? And, if you have one, what kind of PSU do you have? I have a Seasonic 500 S-12.

If anyone with a X1950P 256mb is looking to upgrade... 🙂

I'll probably be buying myself a x1950P soon. After seeing how disappointing the 8600GTS is and then the specs of the HD2600 line, I'm not holding my breath for anything that'll appear in the mid-range.
