Are you named after anyone? Like someone famous? I'm named after Aaron Spelling the producer.

anyone with a biblical name is in fact named after someone or something famous in judeo-christian mythology.

That's my case, I'm not named after any real person.

The joke is older than the person I was named after so I will resist using it here. I was named after a famous bible character.

MY paternal grandfathers first name and my maternal grandfathers middle name were both Max. Where the hell they got them from is lost in the dusty annals of history. (At least for me)

funny fact, my name is spelled wrong on my birth certificate. I was born premature and pretty sick, my Grandmother handled getting my birth certificate and she spelled my name wrong.
The story had been told but when I became an adult I started to think why did my Grandmother handle my birth certificate and why did I have a social number at birth when my older Sister didn't have one. I think they all thought I was going to die and they wanted this crap immediately. I've asked about this and my Parent won't admit to it.

As far as I know, my name is just a Biblical one (Adam) and it's not after a particular person or anything.

Oliver Twist, but the musical/movie version as I know my mom never read the book. She said she just liked the name.

Im pretty sure my parents saw Monty Pythons "Life of Brian" back in 79 and then I popped up in 1980.

I was born right after the Apollo 11 landing, so I was named after Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. I guess my parents didn't like the name Neil.

My middle and last names pronounce me the "Young King of the Charcoal Makers."

Gotta love eastern European names rooted in medieval professions.

No joke. I picked out my name 'Andy / Andrew' IRL when moved to US because my uncle told me I can pick whatever American name I wanted.

So being a kid, I picked Andrew because this show syndicated in Korea was awesome. Jerry O'Connell was the main character, Andrew.

I also liked Andy because of Andy Bogard in Fatal Fury by SNK

Named after part of my grandfather's name.

It's a very rare Greek first name that also has a geographic area named after it plus something else that everyone here would know.

Can't give even just my first name out because it would be easy to find me and take all my stuffs!

First name after my dad and middle name after my grandfather. My Dad was not famous though my grandfather was a semi famous sax player who played on American Bandstand at some point.
