Who were the first people to milk a cow.....

Fritzo

Lifer
and what in the name of holy hell WERE THEY THINKING?????

"Hey...Zog...you dare me to go yank on those dangly things underneath that big animal with the horns on it's head?"
"Ya...I double mammoth dare you!"
"OK...here I go!.....*mmmmmoooooooooooooooooooo*.....Hey Zog! There's white stuff coming out!"
"What's it taste like?"
"Hmmmmm....not bad!"

😕

Didn't grow up on a farm, did you? The ones with horns are called bulls. Now maybe you drink the stuff that comes out of those particular kinds of cows where you come from, but i prefer milk.

this is just my own personal theory but

Im guessing it firs started with people milking sheep or goats, horses possibly cattle, in order to feed the young ones that didnt have mothers. of course it coulda just been eople observing the large quantities that it takes to feed large calves, and wanting in on th action.

fun fact: many animals are born without antibodies, and must recive these antibodies through the mothers first milk (called colustrum). Without colustrum they have a hih risk of geting sick and diying.

<< TheShiz, that was creative 😎 >>

Yes it was. Although sometimes it gets the attention of a MOD and you get a nice little vacation to everywhere but here. 🙂

I was just sitting there eating some corn flakes and the question popped into my head. Seems kind of wierd that anyone would taste any kind of excretion from another animal :disgust:

We should have woman farms. Attach the pumps to boobs and keep their milk going. Then mix it all together, non-homogenized, and all first borns drink it for a few weeks. That would solve so many health problems!

not just a fun fact. it's an issue. 🙂. humans also get a heavy does of antibodies from their mothers colustrum. unfortunately many generations of children were fed Cows milk instead and didn't get that vital colustrum. those people are less healthy.

so, if any of you have kids anytime soon, remember, you should breast feed, at least for the first couple weeks. 🙂

How would me breast feeding have any affect on my children?
