Who was your favorite now-banned troll?

Jerboy would probably be my poison. His threads were consistently trollbait but walked just this edge of obvious so he got away with it for a long time without permabanning. He played the entitlement card well so folks really liked to try to take him down a peg or two and were always competing for the most innovative way to do so. He also could carry on an actual decent conversation in the thread or via PM about why he was the way he was so his trolling was more of a slow-stoked fire than a flaming "come and get me!" announcement.

Who's your favorite troll that's currently banned?

I haven't reached that state of self-important, nor have I acquired the "everybody on the internet is beneath me" attitude, nor do I care. This is ATOT, why so seriousah?

Well, unless you're born an asshole, or were mistreated as a kid and now have a backlash against society, or have the constant need to have something to prove, nobody should be calling anyone a troll. It's all nonsense, get it?

Don't have a copy of it anywhere? Of all the posters to be first in this thread... 😀

Nope. I've changed computers and hard drives so often in the years since the coming and going of Jerboy that I don't have any of them around.

/but if anyone has copies of all of them, I'd love to see them again...

Chill out. Troll is a term commonly used on the internet for a person who deliberately creates a character that is above or below the norm in some extreme way that gets them attention. Look up dessertcart or skywalker66 for examples. It has nothing to do with being cliquish or snobby or "everyone on the internet is beneath me"; trolls are an integral part of forum life and they keep things interesting. Consider them authors of real time interactive fiction.

What were you intending to say about it? You're the one who came in here and basically said I was either born an asshole, was mistreated as a kid or have a constant need to prove something. I didn't call you out; why are you calling me out?

This is a thread APPRECIATING the local color that so-called trolls bring to the forum. It's intended to be lighthearted and good-natured. Why did you choose to come in here and spew venom?

Interactive fiction? Yeah. Bad interactive fiction. I haven't seen a skilled troll since the 90s.
