I never said he, I just said more people have died in the name of Jeebus than the others combined. If Jesus had never been born a lot of suffering could have been avoided. Of course if you beleive those who preach Jeebuses Gospel then you won't agree with my statement. Keep in mind though it was the same fsckwads preaching Jeebuses Gospel that had all those killed.

no it comes from power-hungry, evil men who use the bible as a tool for oppression. but those men are ultimately responsible for their own actions and decisions, as we all are.

OK, fine, we won't find your beliefs in there, but your message implied that the beliefs and teaching of Jesus Christ drove people to murder others. If I'm wrong here, please correct me and let me know what you were getting at with your post. If I'm right, then please point me to Biblical evidence where Jesus told people to kill people in His name.

Red Dawn, I'm not trying to be hostile here, but you've got to be willing to back up blanket statements like that with some sort of evidence. What I'm trying to get at is that human beings can and do misinterpret the Bible. Yes, the Bible and the name of God has been used to justify wars and death. This wasn't the fault of Jesus. He didn't "order" the deaths of people, unlike Hitler, Stalin, Mao, or Pol Pot. Ranking Jesus Christ with the individules on that list shows a lack of understanding of what Christ was trying to teach, and is frankly very insulting.

Edit: I see we've had some clarifications prior to my post...

I vote for Mao... he killed a lot of people in a fairly direct manner during the Flowers "incident" and of course the wonderful Cultural Revolution... he made 6 million look like chump change :Q

Letting people starve to death... yeah, you gotta love him. Plus the same gulags and camps that Stalin had for "political dissidents." funfun...:disgust:

If we are going on the Jesus Christ line of thinking would Henry Ford be guilty for creating Automobiles for the masses. I don't have any numbers but I am guessing the death toll from cars is rising at quite a rapid pace.

Except that those were not done by Jesus. Jesus, far as I know, never killed a single person. Don't blame the messenger for the message or its perversions.
