So it's a swastika. It was around long before the nazi's corrupted the world's opinion on the symbol. It's a symbol of peace.

If you're thinking of the Buddhist symbol, it's actually a reversed swastika

He he he smart boy Swastika came from Sanskrit language and its a holy Hindu symbol and its clockwise the way you see in google map OP linked. Get your facts straight big guy.

the hindu swastika is not the nazi swastika, which is what the OP was hinting at

the hindu swastika is not the german swastika, which is what the OP was hinting at

It has been one of the most common symbols in use throughout history and in most culteures the directions were interchangeable............

Hell the fvcking meaning of the word is "to be good".

OK lets start over...what is its "modern usage"

Let's just assume that we both know what its modern usage is.[/quote]

I'll go outside wearing a shirt like that if you send me one. Won't bother me a bit, but I'm sure it will be a conversation piece....especially with the neighbors as the wife and kids are Jewish.

Google "world war 1 and 45th infantry"

note they were not the first to use the symbol tilted 45 degrees.

I just wouldn't wear a swastika out of consideration for those that might offended by it. There are still some holocaust survivors around, and many surviving family members.

Edit: I guess I should mention the shirt is from Bangladesh.

What's wrong with it? It's an efficient building layout that breaks up the "squareness" of the surrounding buildings. Sure, there's the off chance you might offend someone looking at satellite images or a cessna pilot, but people on the ground won't know the difference.
