a lot of characters here have drama, a lot of people here are just characters.... alter egos of themselves when they post.

Some are great looking and have tons of friends, but they can create whatever world they want here. Some probably have no friends, but everyone hears of great parties they attended and all the cool friends they have, etc....some are in between.

The whole model thing is meaningless, being from South Florida you'd understand. Half the 'aspiring' models are just doing what mommy or daddy want, real models get discovered pretty quickly, the contenders just throw money and their families money into whatever their agents/advisors/modeling instructors tell them....half the time these 'agent' have interests in the places they are sending their students....

There are a lot of agencies here too that say something like "for only $1000 we can make you a Super Model, imagine touring Europe, the finest restaurants, hanging out at even the Playboy Mansion!, not all models are beautiful, quite the contrary...most are no more beautiful than you or I, but they learned these secrets and you can too....we will show you how!"

I have seen more extraordinary women who weren't models than those that are....very few models I have met have I felt 'that great'. Most have both the 'big head' and a big head....are large and tall (not obese or anything just pushing 5'8-9" and larger clothes sizes...my preferences have been size 1-3 :), but I have dated/lived with someone in a size 10 too).

I'm from south florida myself, Miami, and i have dated a model and I can agree with you. My ex gf use to model for Casablanca when the owner herself asked her to model for him and she got paid for it. She use to tell me about how when they use to go to places to sell fliers they would give them to everyone but only give fliers with marks in the back to the pretty girls. The girls that got fliers without marks were given bullshit classes just to take their money. She also told me that the guys that ran the place often threw parties with drugs involved and made some of the girls get involved sexually with them, thats the reason why my ex quit. One day in the studio she said the guys that ran the place told her to take some weed and she quit on the spot. She also told me that most of the girls there were'nt happy with themselves and lifed miserable lifes, she doesn't regret quiting, although she made alot of money.

Is Miami like a hot spot for modelling?

She was going to go for risque poses, because she is too short to be a coat rack.

So what is your point?

My point is what difference does it make what someone talks about here. Unless it's bringing another down, let everyone be happy.

Many things I have read on the net I know are exaggrated or outright lies, but if I am entertained, so be it. :)

I am not bashing asians, my wife is japanese and she thought this was funny (she is 5'0"):

She likes shoes...so we were looking for shoes yesterday....the platform type are really popular now so I showed her a pair....I called them Japanese to American woman adapters....all her little toys and gadgets (not those kinds of toys ;) ) have to use power convertors and adapters, so why not her feet too :)....she laughed and said I needed a Mean to Nice Guy adapter hehehe

Some of those shoes have a 6" lift

I agree with the sentiment of this post. But sometimes grandiosity comes at the cost of belittling other people. If I recall correctly, one of your last posts in a YAGT involved that sort of thing (yeah, I've had lots of chicks and geeks are so lame because I'm always getting the girls they want). *shrug*

Anyway, to each his own.

Wow!
And, I though that my 5,1? Chinese gf shoes are over kill, because they are between 3-4" lift. I keep complain to my gf is that we can?t go for walk or hiking, because she doen?t have shoes that fit for the occasion. Out of the 33 pair of shoes that she own only one pair is walking shoes & it is her indoor shoes for her nursing job. My gf often rebutal to my comment is that she is trying to save my back by using them shoes, because I don't have to bend down as much to kiss ;)

:) I usually only go after those that are just utter idiots. Someone comes on to ATOT and posts a legitimate YAGT, I try to give advice....I have seen it all ....

I don't mind someone building themselves up, but I hate those that play the martyr.

Our favorite model as a kid

Just found a more up to date one

I found luvly's model stuff to be odd....most model's have no problem showing their face as they are going to be in public and photographed anyway....

Also her body was nice, but I didn't see it as great as all the neffers did....it was definitely a usable bod ;).

I don't know if she was banned, someone said she was working or doing something now. I am curious myself.

Just stumbled across this thread.

My coat rack is 6'0".

I'm 5'3"... so I guess whoever said I'm too short to be one is right. :p

I did the modelling thing for a bit in college... local print, an import gig, art galleries, etc. No big deal, and it was easy money for very little work.

I had no "aspirations" to be pro... one photographer paid me $150/hour for a NYC shoot, fully-clothed... it was fun, and I also had the opportunity to work with Michael Meken, Paulo Filgueiras, etc.

I shared some pics with ATOT cuz that was what was going on in my life... I haven't tried to do any of that out here in Cali, but my friend Kat could hook something up with Team Prototype... she's a webmistress and student, but does some import shows and shoots for extra money ($20-30/hour plus free clothes). She did a shoot this weekend, and should be featured in some Lowrider magazine next month.

It's really not that big of a deal... I never took it very seriously, and I don't see why some people on ATOT did. Oh well... go ahead and bash away, hating on a stranger. Those who blindly hate on me must have some issues, because I've never done anything to personally insult anyone here.

The friends I've made at ATOT meetups, etc. and the peope from here I've met in person I cherish... the others can say/think whatever they want, but your claims are groundless.

For old times sake... the last "model" pic taken (for the Michael Meken's portfolio).
