How could there be any doubt, just about any idiot would be worlds better than the idiot in office. GWB wasn't great, but since then we've doubled down on fail.
 
Not a fair question to ask until Obamas 2nd term but compare 1st term to 1st term Obama by a landslide. 9/11 and Iraq War pretty much answer that question.

You basically set fire to a house. Then you blame the fire company for not only the extra water it cost to stop the flames but not being able to salvage the house quickly enough. Incredible.

Bush was worse because he accelerated the growth of spending more regardless of which party controlled Congress. That said, the debt doesn't matter as much as the spending. Do you want more tax revenue going into the govt coffers? I don't. Obama is pretty terrible, but he didn't accelerate spending anywhere near as much as Bush did and he opposed the Keystone Oil pipeline even if not for the right reasons.

do you know that Obama has actually increased spending as a % of gdp less than any of the Presidents since Eisenhower ?

And that the largest contributors to our deficit are..

1. Bush's wars
2. Bush's near economic depression
3. Bush's unworkable tax cuts

Legitimately Andrew Jackson was probably the worst President (Trail of Tears anyone?). Obama is middle of the pack as far as Democrats go. That means he's better than Nixon, Bush 1, Bush 2, and seeing as he didn't commit treason by illegally selling weapons to Iran, better than Reagan too.
