Who wants to quit their jobs?

I want to quit mine and just grow weed for dispensaries in Toronto. Just need someone with money to help this dream happen.

Me, ever since the company we contract for was bought out and they have moved most of support to India it's been nothing but frustration

I'm almost 50 years old and i'm tired of this grind. I don't like my job, but i'm good at it though. I want to do something i'm passionate about and feel good about it.

I took a new job last November. It was seriously misrepresented to me.

I'm pretty satisfied with my job itself, but I would like to be done working at all. Only a couple more decades to go, probably!

I'm alright with my job. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but I could do worse. It's called "job" for a reason. If it *was* the greatest thing, it would be called "fun" instead.

Growing weed professionally sounds like a job to me. Governmental hassle and bureaucracy. Government makes everything fun a job.

you have your points...i get more pleasure from looking at miy plants then putting up duct work and installing furnaces/ac's water heaters hrv's..etc etc etc

Love what I do - learning new stuff now and from the comfort of my own house. The worst times are not being productive and just waiting for hours to go by. And no, I cannot fall sleep in the middle of the day.

Sounds like a good hobby to unwind from HVAC work. As opposed to (speculating here) filing a security regimen with the government, having them poke through your accounting books, and stopping in for surprise inspections.

its totally sickening. life is kinda fucked up..amirite?

I like what I do. I get stressed out, but overall it's a good time. I don't really exist outside of the office, so I'm not sure what I'd do if I didn't work.

Then do it. Our lives are so short anyway. Does it matter? If you want to do "your thing" the time is today. Be in the present, and have the mindset that life is fleeting. That your time is fleeting. Good luck.

Don`t you need some sort of a license with a possible background check??
Well since the dispensaries are illegal i don't think they will check for government licence....There was a 'lottery' for licenced shops back in the fall, and of course they only approved 25 .

I'd probably quit my job if I had the means, since there are so many other things I could be doing that don't involve sitting in an office for nine hours a day.

I like my job, but at same time I hate the idea of working for the man for the rest of my life, so while I don't want to quit this job just to get another job, I do want to eventually quit and have the rest of my life to myself. AKA winning the lottery. Whether it's the real lottery or some other form of sudden unexpected income.

TBH even if I DID win the lotto now I'd probably keep my current job at least for a little while, but knowing I can quit any time would be a blessing.

I do kinda like the idea of growing pot and selling it but I think that's super tightly regulated, I don't think just anyone can do it. Probably easier to grow regular produce, though even that is probably super regulated. Anything that is easy to do on the surface tends to be regulated to the point that it's no longer easy to do.

I probably shouldn't even think about a question like that. Like most people my age, I have a mortgage, car payments, and a kid to feed. It's just not an option, so I shouldn't even think about it.
