I went to sleep 4:00am on friday. Woke 6:00am, 2hrs later. Went to church, then to visit my aunt in the hospital. Got home 2:00pm, As soon as I get home my friend calls me up to go catch a movie with him, he lives in the suburb but was hear (City) to see his granny. We shall call him "M" Any way I didnt want to go with 2hrs of sleep but finally agreed... We get to the Burbs & we go to pick up another friend well we get invited in & when inside the house he shall me knows as "J-D" claims to be a US rebel along with his other friend "J" well "J" goes to work on "M" messin around trying to cut him I stand there laughing. "J-D" as now returned from where every he was & with the same kind of knife as "J" And they say we have matching knifes, He tells me hes gonna cut me but I know hes joking so I dont do anything but the fu*ker ghashed me a real big cut. Now standing there in shock I didnt feel any pain so I went to the bathroom to make it num with cold water I put a towel in my mouth as "J-D" poured rubbing alcahol on it, I didnt feel sh!t, but the cut was deep & I knew I need stitches so they go to start the car the next thing I know I remember having the towel in my mouth & I closed my eyes, well big mistake! I passed out & had a shock. After seeing my life flash across me I woke & asked where was I? After being showed the wall being in & my hand I remembered. Well I was taken to the emergency room & told I need 3-4 stitches & my parents need to come in to sign a form. So since They are in the city I said I will just go to the emergency room in the city. Well I just put some neosporin on it after the bleeding stopped which took 2hrs or so & and taped it up, Being scared of doctors I think it will heal by it self!?! I was wondering why this post was in hot deals, but looks like you rectified that. 🙂

In any case, being a doctor, I feel obligated to comment:

you should get the cut checked out to make sure you didn't injure a nerve or tendon
assuming you didn't, the cut should be irrigated with a lot of water/saline to prevent infection
closing it with sutures would also be a good idea as 1) it'll heal much faster 2)less scarring 3) less chance of infection
if you don't close it with sutures it will heal, but tissue will have to slowly granulate in, taking weeks and looking unsightly
lastly, you should probably get a tetanus shot update since it was a metal item that cut you, and even if it looks clean, spores of tetanus can could still be on it, and believe you me, you don't want tetanus.
 
yeah... do what the doc says. or... u can do it my way. just staple the wound shut and patch it up with some duct tape.
 
...went into shock, arrrggghhhhh, I hate when people use that phrase.

I had a laceration on my right shoulder that required over a hundred stitches and shock was nowhere to be found. Shock is a very serious physiological situation from lack of blood. There is one other type, but that was not yours.

Buck up buddy, you were assaulted, bad in my opinion, and that sucks bad.

911paramedic, That is what I thought it was because it was really weird like I dont really know how to explain it but my head was spining & I tried to wake up but couldnt, Once I did wake I had a real bad headache. Any way that is what I thought it was but guess not. My dad it might have also been from all the fumes from the alcahol he poured in.

I wont file a report or anything but I still cant believe he did it. So far my parents think I was cutting an apple when he pushed into me.

One of my Uncles (you know, everyone has an idiot Uncle) got stabbed in the stomach, twice. Not too deep, but pretty sick looking. Since it was a result of a drug deal gone bad, he didn;t want to go to the hospital (there was a warrant out for his arrest, and the hospital is rewuired by law to report stabbing to the police - Hawai`i), so he just put a butterfly bandage over each wound, and "rested"...the wounds healed, but he was in some pain!!!
 
did you beat that damn idiot up? i'd go over tehre right now and slash him with one of my knives and see how he likes it..damn stupid idiots

Sorry pal, but if someone even THOUGHT of doing that to me, I'm sorry but you're gonna loose a few teeth and end up in the ER faster than you can say "I'm fscked".

Your friend wouldn't have been on both feet for more than a minute. I don't know why you let him get away with that.
