Who uses longhorn?

is it good and stable enough to replace xp? i just want to know who uses it or has tried it and their opinions. any newer build out?

I've not tested the latest version out. Last version I did was 4074, which was missing loads of stuff. I'd maybe wait till the end of summer when a beta is out if you want to replace XP. Remember it's not due for release till the end of 2006.

You'd be surprised of the amount of people that do. I remember loads switching when Win2k hit beta. I personally think it's crazy, but I guess the lure of saying you have the latest is too much for some.

I took a look at the WinHEC leak and all I can say is that I'm really glad that I don't need to run Windows any more.

I was using WinXP Pro beta something and then RC1, then RC2 and so fourth and so on.

ive used 4074 and other than the drivers it worked just fine. it comes with almost no drivers. i think it was stable. i had no errors or crashes in the month that i used it for.

Since I do keep information I'd rather not lose to an OS failure, I don't run Beta OSs as my primary OSs. I do dualboot, however.

have they enabled support for all the graphical pretties yet?

the last build i played with...4074, i believe, was missing some crucial stuff to get all that working...there were some tweaks people came up with, but a lot of stuff was still broken

On windows Longhorn 5048 right now. Nothing special. Absolutly no difference between XP. I want build 5203.
