Am running firebird browser and this error(The document contains no data) is starting to get on my nerves. I get it on everything I go just about. Anyone know whats causing it? I would really like to get rid of it.

I know nothing about this browser other than I am running the latest version.

It could be related to the ads, but I'm running Mozilla here (closely related to Firebird), and am not getting errors. Perhaps, it could also be your ISP.

Firebird here! I get that message maybe once a week (i.e. very rare)

Have you updated? When you updated did you create a new profile? It's a bit of a pain but it's really recommended.

Reading the forums through firebird. I love it - it's fast and slim (none of the bloated crap you see in most browsers). It's currently still a beta, 0.61, so there's still some issues. Overall, it's very usable already and will be great at 1.0.

if you upgraded from a previous version, i'd highly reccomend just deleting everything and starting over with a new profile. i have not had that error yet with 0.61

I get that every now and then, but only when going through the AnalogX proxy I put on one of the machines here at work so I can use it's 512/256k ADSL connection rather than the company-wide 64k leased line

I always attributed it to that :)

I've been running Firebird for months now, never re-created my profile, I just install the latest build over the existing one...never had a problem. I've never had that message - I run through a NAT router in case you are interested.

Edit: You could also try the official Firebird Forums too :)

"/ Instead of annoying error dialog messages, display pages:
user_pref("browser.xul.error_pages.enabled", true);"

stick that (without the quotes) in your user.js and the annoying error dialogs will be no more.

EDIT - Here's another way to do it if you don't have, or know about the "user.js" file:

Type "about:config" (without the quotes) into the location bar. Go to "browser.xul.error_pages.enabled". Now change that option to true.
