I've been using 2 19" monitors on my G400 Max since the early days of dualhead. It's a weird feeling for me to sit in front of a machine with only one monitor now! I would STRONGLY advise anyone seriously considering switching to dual monitors to go with identical setups, meaning identical monitors and video cards (or a dualhead solution like the g400 series). I have a dual setup at work (because I got so used to it at home) with an ATI Rage Pro Turbo 8mb (nice 2d) hooked to a NEC 17" FE700 and an ATI Mach64 (2d sucks rocks, but it's all I had) and a Gateway 17 Vivitron (old school Trinitron), and I can tell you that it can be distracting looking at 2 very different looking displays where quality is concerned. I find myself not using the 2nd display too much because the quality of the video card sucks so bad. Many people don't have as sensitive of eyes as mine, but I can't stand fuzzy screens or low refresh rates, hence my choice of the G400 (best 2d around--BAR NONE). The RADEON VE's screen is nice, too, but for games, you don't get any better framerates than the G400, and the G400's dualhead solution is more polished. I personally wouldn't waste my time with the Geforce2 MX solution either. The 2d sucks (as with all NVIDIA cards to date), the dualhead solution is the lease robust, and your gaming framerates aren't THAT much better. If you're a die hard gamer, build a modest second machine and put a Geforce2 Pro in it for games. My 2 cents...
