Same here, they're a great substitute for floppies for things like copying downloaded drivers to a system I'm setting up (especially since the RW's readable by DOS). With "quick erase" it only takes an extra minute to wipe the RW clean next time I use it.Originally posted by: tcsenter
I have Verbatim Datalife CDRW for things like backups. I don't use CDRW for any long-term storage, but there are a lot of occasions where I want to make a data CD that I only need for a specific job or short-term only. Instead of throwing another CDR away, I'll use a CDRW. Its kept probably 30 or so CDR discs out of the land fills so far. Not a huge deal, but imagine 30 discs x 10 million people....small gestures done on a large scale can make a difference.
