when you've got this? ;)

sandra ram and cpu speed

sandra cpu bench

sandra multimedia bench

I get about 171fps in Q3A in 640x480x32 with all the options maxed. geforce2 gts not overclocked

AMD 1.2ghz. Purple core
Antec 400w power supply
Alpha PAL6035 (will replace with globalwin) with a delta 38CFM fan.
ABIT KT7A-RAID
3x 45gb IBM GXP75 (yes, 3 drive raid works!)
Pioneer 16x DVDROM
Plextor 12/10/32
256mb of PNY Infineon ram @ 151mhz 2-2-2
Creative Labs Annihilator 2 GTS 32mb. Soon to be replaced with a GF2 64mb Pro
SB Live value

Zephyr is right man. I'm sorry, but that system is unstable, and your crappy synthetic benchmarks are worth nothing! ;)

Nice system man, and that's a sweet overclock :)

P.S. You should try to get your hands on a GF2 Pro or Ultra, you could surely get 200fps in Quake3 then... Of course, your system would be unstable, so it wouldn't matter anyways! ;)

I'm gonna chuck my GF2 GTS for a 64mb pro sometime next week when it sells on gaybay week.

yes. I read that thread before I posted. Quite amusing.

If guy the who posted in that thread is not a commercial for brand loyalty, I don't know what is. :p

Geeze, you must be able to heat your whole house with the thermal energy coming off that thing. ;)

Good work :)

Although if you really want to maximize what you get out of that thing, you need an Ultra to keep up with that CPU :)

Yes. it gets VERY hot. With the alpha and a ys tech fan the temps easily reach into the 120s. After I put in the delta it was a more manageable 109F. Hopefully a globalwin will bring it down some more till I get the PEP66.

I would say he's more of a commercial for complete fanaticism ;)

Only 109F out of that thing?!? Man, that's nothing for that kind of speed! Have you tried pushing farther?

Zephyr: he's on 9.5x153 (he has WCPUID open in the first Sandra screen :))

I think 1.464 is the limit on this sucker. I really think more voltage is needed (KT7A shows 1.91v being fed)

If I go to 154 or 155 I crash all over the place and on top of that the video card isn't the most stable thing in the world. Even at 2x AGP.

I was kidding about the heat issue. You obviously have it well in hand. Those temps are fine. Great job on the system. :)

thanks Dark ... DUH! *lol* :D

153 ain't too shabby.. the KT133A seems to be a good o/c'er after all.. seems like Via worked wonders from the old KT133 to the KT133A in terms of o/c ability :)

they prolly added a new clock gen to run at higher bus speeds. lol

I'm sure everyone knows that AMD told VIA to cripple bus speeds.

now if I could run 200fsb - 50mhz for the RAM.. now that would REALLY kick ass.

hah! I'm surprised you didn't have to incase that thing in snow. I'm so used to be in artic suits ;P

Awesome overclock there, seems to prove that it doesn't need that extreme cooling to reach it.

Speaking about suits, at least my AMD doesn't have those white bubble suited men dancing around :p

lol.. I'd be willing to let this chip go to 1.95v but that's it. I'm fairly certain it would hit 1.5ghz if I did. But as it stands now I can post at 1.5ghz but locks up loading windows. :(

Yea I think that is a great system But I want some real proof of stabilty. Please run 3Dmark 2000 with it clocked as you mention I don't care about the score I want to see a screen shot that it completed the whole run and I want it to show the MHZ and the works this will take a few screen shots to do. I am not trying to compare the scores and really don't care I want proof of stability and that benchmark will do it. run it at default setting in 3D mark and lets see what happens. If you can do this I will personally put up a thread saying the T-Bird is king and eat crow.
