Who the hell does PayPal think they're fooling? Re: Signature Confirmation and UPS

Well, isn't this just lovely?? I just talked to someone from PayPal's Dispute Resolution Center on the phone and I told her my problem about not being able to find a Signature Confirmed option with shipping with UPS through PayPal when shipping somthing over $250. She was like "Uhh, yeah I don't think you can do that. Let me check for you." She puts me on hold for another 3 minutes, than comes back and says "Yeah, you can't do signature confirmation with UPS through PayPal and that you'll have to take it to a UPS center."

So I responded with "What's the point in having UPS shipping through PayPal if you don't even provide signature confirmation on shipments over $250 to aid the seller with Seller Protection. No signature confirmation = YOU LOSE EVERY TIME." And then I asked as to why does USPS offer signature confirmation through PayPal while UPS doesn't? She said a bunch of BS then said that she was sorry and that she would "look into it"

What a bunch of losers :|

So you will be out $250 shortly if they didn't already freeze your account.

Drain that sombitch right now and abandon your PP account like it has Super AIDS.

No, I didn't ship it off. That's why I called BEFORE shipping to make sure. You think I was about to take a dive like that???

I've been using DHL with signature confirmation on packages over $250 and just recently switched to UPS

UPS sucks.

Use USPS or FedEx. I have many friends who work for UPS and they beg me not to use them.

I do use USPS for smaller packages. UPS for the heavy stuff. I use UPS for eBay b/c it integrates with PayPal/eBay and makes things a lot smoother.

As for Fedex vs UPS, I've had MUCH better luck with UPS over the years as far as receiving packages.

It's all about time and convenience. I don't have time to go to a UPS Store and wait around in line for them to help me, then pay for my crap, then get my tracking number, then have to type up the tracking number and email it to the buyer, then have to keep the tracking number somewhere so that I can track it later. It's too much of a hassle.

With PayPal UPS shipping (and USPS), everything pre-filled, I enter the dimensions, enter the weight, print a label and pop it on the box all while being billed from my PayPal account. Then I drop the box off somewhere at my convenience. Tracking is integrated and the buyer gets the emails automatically.

The next closest option I could see using is to just use UPS's own shipping services online. I'll see about doing that.

This is what I do. Works like a charm. They even have a spot where you can type in multiple e-mail address. So you could send a copy of the receipt to yourself and the buyer.
Then I just bring the package to work and UPS picks it up. No muss, no fuss.

Yeah, I'll just start doing that for my UPS packages that will require signature confirmation.
