Who subscribes to this theory?

I subscribe to the theory that there is only one reason to turn off your computer(s). That reason being upgrades.

i have always believed the problem lies in the heat aspect. when computers are shutdown they also cool down and vise versa when powered up. with cooling and heating comes expansion and contraction. its anyones guess as to how much wear this actually causes though, i will just stick with always leaving my computers running.

I turn off my computer from time to time. I can tell by listening to the amount of ka-chunk, ka-chunk, whirrwhirrwhirrwhirr, if I need to get a new spyware erasing program or something.
