to this day, I STILL feel anxious and nervous around the opposite sex.

It appears to me that some guys are perfectly comfortable around females but me, I get nervous for no reason.

I really want to be myself and make them laugh and all that good stuff, but something hinders me. I can't be myself

I'm 19years old btw, did you guys feel this way when you were this age?

I'm anxious around ANY women.... if we are in the same social setting or whatever

The more you get out the more comfortable you will feel. The more comfortable you feel the more confident. THe more confident, the better off you will be. It's just a matter of getting out there and socializing. Also, try not to latch onto a boob right away. Puts most women off.

I am comfortable around women, but then again I was raised by my mom and sister. I know how women want to be treated, and know what they like to hear.

Just relax bro, one of these days you will find a girl that you really like. She will be drop dead gorgeous, have a great mind, be funnier than all heck, and you will be so nervous when she says hi that you will pee your pants and run away screaming like a school girl.

So that's my problem! I feel so stupid now. 😱

I think you need to watch American Pie, they address this issue nicely.

You are anxious and nervous because you don't have a clear objective in mind.

Keep this thought in the forefront of your mind at all times: You must get the target female naked.

Of course I don't condone any illegal or immoral means to do so. It is your daily challenge to have at least one female remove her clothes willingly.

It's best to be yourself.
Just say, "Please forgive me, but I get all nervous around attractive women, but I just have to talk to you even thought I'm probably making an ass of myself."

They'll love you for it.
And you can still be you; which is who you should be.

Get a girlfriend. Get used to physical contact with a woman. Cured.

I love when I am around women I don't really know.. Gives me a chance to go chat w/them. Once your married and happy, talking to the other sex is awesome.

All the teen-age angst is overrated. God, if only I could go back in time and tell this to myself. Take a deep breathe and say "In 5 years, this won't mean a d@mn thing to me" and go in. You won't believe it of course (until it's five years later and you see it is true), but it should help. Trust me, the things you are worrying about now have no meaning in a few years. None. Try your best to relax and enjoy it. You won't be able to do that completely, but try. Just stay away from the stupid stuff like drinking and driving, drugs, etc. It really is a no-brainer.
