Who should pay for my car being towed?

If the 3 riding with you are good friends of yours (i.e. you've known them for a while), they would hopefully offer to help split the cost. I know that if my DD's car was towed, I'd throw in at least $20-30. Definitely so if the DD is a person who normally drinks.

I would not demand anything from my passengers, but I would certainly give the host of the party a piece of my mind. When someone that live somewhere tells me where I can and cannot park when I'm coming over, I have to assume they know.

Uhm, its your car you pay for it ? I'd smack someone who wanted money for getting towed. I've been towed once when i was with a bunch of people, and i didnt expect them to pay anything.

I've gotten a ticket before that i split with a friend, but thats because he's my boy. I didnt expect him to do so.

i let a friend drive my car, he parked it in a NO PARKING zone, we were in chicago and we had to get back to South Bend that night. guess who paid to get the car back.

who SHOULD have paid?

he should have at least split it with me, but nope, i had to pay the whole thing.

That's easy, don't give him a ride unless he pays...
