Who should Obama choose as his running mate?

Bill Richardson and Joe Biden would both be good as VP or Secretary of State.

Edwards would be good, but I'd rather see him as Attorney General. He's an experienced trial lawyer with a history of defending the rights of individualsagainst the wrongs of moneyed corporate interests. I'd love to see him armed with the full power of U.S. law enforcement to serve some justice to traitors, murderers and torturers like Bush, Cheney and Gonzales.

I like Wes Clark, but as a retired general, he might be better as Secretary of Defense.

Wes Clark might be good but didn't he endorse Hillary? They'd probably call him Judas if he was Obama's VP

If so, Judas for VP! 😀

Who's the next most racist democrat?

Any prick who would post such a dumbass question... unless you're not a Democrat, in which case you're just a frigging racist. :|

I'm no the one who's been attending a black nationalist church for the last 20 years or has a wife that just said this is the first time I've been proud of my country since being an adult.

And I'll worry about me being a racist the next time I'm babysitting my biracial goddaughter.

You and the rest of the putzes who continue to try to hang Wright's words around Obama's neck are indeed racists. I didn't see Obama say anything about endosing Wright's statements, but if you really want to get into what Obama did say, he pointed out that Wright comes from an earlier generation that had every right to feel oppressed because they were. He said he understands their anger, and their actions are the reason Afro Americans have gained as much as they have over the past decades. And the job of ridding our nation of racial division is far from done.

I'm 66 years old, and I got to see some of it first hand. I'm caucasian, and even then, watching the inhuman, evil of racism was embarrassing to me as nothing more than another human being.

And I'll worry about me being a racist the next time I'm babysitting my biracial goddaughter. :rolleyes;

You'd better worry about it. You're setting a piss poor example for her.

I don't have to hang anything around Obama. If I see my neighbor Jim Crowe heading to KKK meetings for the last 20 years, I'd feel pretty content calling him a racist too.

Whoever will help him lose is the best pick, IMO.

so you support hillary for vp?

If that's what makes sure that empty suit doesn't become president, yep.

So of the two outcomes, him losing and McCain becoming President is preferable to Obama becoming President?

Should i start the poll again? I just added Wesley Clark.

Well, I'd certainly pick as my "other"... but im not sure you'll get good results by restarting the poll...

Boss Niggah?

:music: "They rode into a white man's town, bringing black man's law. He's black, he's brutal, he's Boss.:music:

Seriously, the "Obama is a racist" is stupid and juvenile. Thankfully the polls this week show Obama was right to have faith in the intelligence of the American people with his speech, and see the issue with the depth and complexity it deserves.
