Diane Feinstein has not announced her plans, but rumor has it it's quite possible she won't run again in 2024. In any case, it appears other high profile politicos are lining up for the primary.

So far, something like a dozen people have announced plans to run but AFAIK only 3 (besides Feinstein) are high profile and have any chance at all. In alphabetical order, these are:

Barbara Lee
Katie Porter
Adam Schiff

Who do you like and why?

Barbara Jean Lee is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 12th congressional district. Now in her 12th term, Lee has served since 1998, and is a member of the Democratic Party. Wikipedia

Katherine Moore Porter is an American politician, law professor, and lawyer who is the U.S. representative from California's 47th congressional district since 2023, previously representing the 45th congressional district from 2019 to 2023. Wikipedia

Adam Bennett Schiff is an American lawyer, author, and politician who has served as a U.S. representative since 2001. A member of the Democratic Party, he has represented his California congressional district since 2001. Wikipedia

Needs to be Porter.
She's running 3rd ATM. Steve Garvey, ex-major league baseball player, has emerged in 2nd place, IIRC at 18%, behind Schiff at 24%. Porter trails at IIRC 13%, Lee behind her.

Saw video of Garvey last night. His pitch is he's a Californian through and through. Hmm. I can say as much. He said it's been a long time since a Republican has held the office and "maybe we're due." "Due!" :oops:o_O:eek: He's got no business running, what a disgrace! Celebrities and former sports stars without political experience should have better sense.

I don't care between either Porter or Schiff, both would be good choices. That being said, I hope the Republican comes in 2nd because as someone mentioned if it's a match between a Democrat and a Republican the Republican is going to get buried and so Democrats won't need to devote much time/money/effort there. If it's a showdown between Porter and Schiff you know people are going to end up donating zillions to the fight that could be better spent literally anywhere else.

Jamie Dimon got on CNBC this week to chastise America for not treating the rank and file MAGA
Republicans “with respect”. He also warned that while Wall Street is up and his bank is raking in profits, “there’s been too much stimulus”—as if he wasn’t the one lobbying for stimulus (though without any QE strings attached).

They can earn some respect back when they respect the Constitution, respect the majority of voters and respect the law of the land.

Looks like someone's mad about the cap on overdraft fees.
