Who sent this to me?

I know a "Joe Blow" but the "from" field is blank and I didn't find the "received from" IP in a "whois" search. It looks fake to me but I am a rookie at this. I have been unable to contact "Joe" to verify that he sent it to me.

Chris Smith:

Whatsup?

You are a perfectionist and you do things right the first time.

Bet you will do some cool stuff with this.

It's Sooooo Awesome! You know what I think.

I know a "Joe Blow" but how would they know I know him? That seems like a lot of work to send me Spam, even though I thought it may be Spam. It's pretty ingenious if it is Spam, as I don't normally even open email if it is unsolicited or I don't know the sender.
Thanks.

I get spam from "Joe Blow" all the time. It's just a generic name like Smith or something. If you happen to know someone with that name, it's just coincidence.

Actually, I used "Joe Blow" as a place holder so that I wouldn't identify the other party.
