I both a MSI K7 master (6341) mobo to go with my 1.33 t-bird. I especially ordered that card because it was the one used with the 1.33 t-bird in a recent buyer's guide from anandtech. I have been experiencing some problems since a built the setup, and decided to check the MSI home page. To my surprise, it says that this mobo supports t-bird up to 1.2!!!

I have very frequent freezes even while I put my rig to sleep :-( Anyone has some experience with this board???

I run win 98SE, 1.33 t-bird, asus 8200 GEF3 and SB live. Everything updated to the last driver! I also have a case temp of 35 and a CPU temps of 54-57 idle/load. My vcore is at 1.77 (even if the PC doctor III included with the mobo indicates 1.82!) and the rig is not OC'd...

Any clue???

MSI's website just isn't updated, that's all. If your cpu is running at the right speed then the motherboard supports it.

Yeah, like Trevelyan said, it definately supports, it just the site hasn't been updated and that was the most recent chip out when they posted that. I have the msi k7t266pror motherboard, not many problems at all.

The mboard supports your cpu, the webmaster is just lazy. however, the k7 master can be a problematic board, check out www.amdzone.com forums, a guy named FastEddie there and some others know a lot about the board and can help you out most likely. or try www.amdmb.com forums, or www.msihardware.com forums, like I said, board can be problematic, but there are fixes for most of its quirks.

PharmaPhil...Your MB is running at 1.82v. The k7 master runs about .o5v more than it says. You can probably back down around .05v and lower temps and perhaps stop problems. What kind od Nic are you using? Amd761 chipset MBs are incompatable with Netgear fa311, 312, & 313 NICs. Don't worry about MSi website. thes tbirds, and Palominos, athlon 4, and athlon mp, all run at the same default 1.75v vcore...

For the sleep mode problem---did you install W98 using the setup /p j switches? APM doesn't work correctly in W98(x) without using the two additional switches in the setup command.
