Back when I didn't know what windows was. I'll also admit that I used to reach behind the computer and spin one of the screws that held the monitor cable in to turn the sound down when I was playing doom, which I installed off of something like 14 floppies.

Two thoughts:

How in hell do I turn off the duplexing?

and

If I don't spend all my computer time do I get the remainder in a check to me?

First one: My first compuserve account and I had all my messages coming and going twice. I had to have a person in the forum show me what keyset to press to stop it.

Second one: In college, those who got computer time had it not in hours but in money. And it was very expensive. And no, I didn't get the refund but my professor was very pleased when I always came in under budget.

But I was like 9 at the time so I think that's kind of normal.

They really shouldn't have called them illegal operations, I know that's freaked out soooooo many people because they didn't know what an illegal operation was.

now if those downloaders today saw an 'illegal operation' on the screen :D

Are you serious? It is just another language. Learn the syntax and grammar and it is easy.

WTF, do you know what thread you're in?

on my first computer build i couldnt get it to boot up, i tried everything, had people on aim trying to help me, took the mobo out of the case, barebones trying to boot, they figured it was the mobo or cpu that was bad, so i thought i would rma it. when i took it apart i noticed that little lever on the cpu socket that i had never lifted. lol
