Growing up this shit was all I used to drink. Used to wipe the floor with Sunny Delight and all the other garbage fruit "drinks" and was second to only real orange juice. Now I can't find it anywhere except on Coke's site, and I'm actually 100% convinced that they tweaked the formula a little bit and used it as the basis for Full Throttle.

Wikipedia sez: Once widely available in the U.S., it is now very difficult to find. Five Alive is, however, still widely distributed in Canada and in the UK, as a bottled or canned drink, also in 250 ml cartons suitable for vending machines or as a frozen concentrate.

I'll give any ATOT canuck $10 (our dollars, not yours) to ship me some of this stuff. I'm fiending for it.
 
I get it at the Neighborhood Wal Mart once in a while. I've loved it since childhood in the UK, and my daughter loves it now.
 
still everywhere in canada. They must have pulled it from the US because it was too healthy. 😛

the tropical version is better, though.

That stuff was pretty good. One of my preferred concentrated juices.
Wasn't special enough that I actually miss it.
 
I'm pretty sure they still sell it in Florida. In fact, I remember seeing the cartons of Five Alive at Hitchcocks and the frozen concentrate at Publix
 
I'm in Canada and they have it on sale this week... Never cared for Five Alive. I guess you'll have to move closer to the border so you can have all the Five Alive you want.
 
Wow I remember that stuff now. In 1988 I used to drink it all the time at my friends house. Get back from skateboarding and go down a bunch of five alive. Whole lot better than drinking soda!

Yep, they replaced it with subsidized high fructose corn syrup for the farmers and corporations especially for Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig etc.
 
I can still get it at my local Publix. I used to drink it all the time, haven't as much lately, but occasionally.

Dude, they sell it in Publix here in Sarasota. They don't always have the carton in stock (I saw it about a month ago), but they always have the frozen concentrate in.

Yeah, but the Publix in Florida have PG Tips Tea, Marmite, Smarties and tons of other UK shit for ex-pats.

We still have Five Alive, but it's lame.

True, actually I love those Aero Mint bars, but haven't had one in awhile. Not sure if I've seen smarties at my local one though, I'll check when I'm there tomm.

Almost forgot, I always get a nice chuckle when I see 'Spotted Dick' 🙂
