You're right. Sager is oging to offer one as well based off a Clevo 'ODM design but it's a few weeks out I believe.

I think Dell is the only one that offers the faster version of those two cards (GPU core/ram speed).
THis reminds how Starbucks pressured its coffee suppliers not to sell to its competitors?
I could be wrong.

Starbucks don't grow the coffee beans so what make Starbucks coffee so good?
I'm not a coffee expert but I think the beans has a lot to do with it.

1st off, Starbucks didn't "pressure" it's coffee suppliers to "not sell to competitors" and B.) there's nothing special about Starbuck's coffee beans. - The coffee beans you get at Starbucks (Arabica) are the same coffee beans you get at any decent grocery store from the bulk bins. The only thing that might makes Starbucks beans/coffee taste a little better is that it might be a little fresher b/c of their high rate of inventory turnover.

Shame on GM. GM can't make better cars so they buy Japanese cars and slap their logo on it?? So if you were in the market to buy: Corolla, Maxtrix, Eclipse, type cars, you would choose the ones with GM logo? GM is turning into another Dell? Look where GM is today.

Your logic is what is wrong with my ability to infer. I just realised I got suckered in to arguing with a fool. I'll be leaving this thread for good now.

inhotep im sure you must have realised that no one really cares what you say, I havenmt actually seen anyone agreeing with you
And actually on the topic, i dont care who makes my laptop. I basically look for performance and i couldnt give a s*** who it comes from, sure the quality fo build is different from different manufacturers but as performance is key to me, I'm going to buy a dell XPS M170, just waiting for a coupon now. The thing is i dont care where its made or who by it will have the specs i want and thats why im going to buy it.

Its not. Its worth knowing who makes what, so if you see a good deal on a supposed "Off-brand", you can grab it.

Don't use big words you can't spell. And medium and small words too... those seem to be giving you trouble as well. Maybe you should get out and learn the language before trying to make a nonsensical point. And next time you try to put someone down, run your text through a spell checker, that way you won't look like a complete idiot, just half of one.

Try going here...

I don't check my spelling at times, I just type and post. you got me there.
You are still the idiot whose been washed up by dell.
We know you get an orgasm every time you see a dell commercial.
No, I'm not the one who started the put downs. I defended my position. Calling dells cheap plastics is not a put down. Calling someone an idiot is. Scroll back and see.

Look, if I typed something false, go ahead and submit your VALID argument. I started this thread and I have every right to inform people who don't know much about dell. All and all, looks like I have more laptop experience than you.

It's ok kid, just read the book I linked you to, you'll figure it out from there. Just make sure to take your ADHD meds before reading it so you can pay attention.

BTW it's "all in all" not "all and all". But's that's ok...after all what's more gibberish after all the other gibberish you have posted eh?

Ok... now I'll play your cute little game for a minute longer. Define laptop experience.

If you'd learn to read I didn't change the subject. Now define your vague statement.

What does my ADHD problem have to do with my thread. As long as people can understand, who cares.
So, stop spamming my thread with your pro-dell propaganda.

Again, not everyone agree with me and that is fine.

You are the one who called me a retared, which is a put down. Not very nice for a "Diamond Member"

flaming aside I don't get why this is such a big deal. Intel and AMD make the processors for other companies, Via makes chipsets for everyone. Samsung make monitors that Dell put their label on... and on and on and on. If you buy a Dell or whatever else you're buying the service contract that you get with Dell. You get the warranty, you get the cheap price (assuming you don't get suckered for all the add-ons).

This is a very valid argument. Did you know that there are strict federal laws, standards and requirements when companies have "made in USA", "manufacturer in USA", "assembled in USA" on their products? new cars have parts origin disclosure on them. What is my point? One of the reasons is that many consumers are mislead. I'm not saying dell's advertisements are misleading, but there are people who think dell is also a manufacturer, thus, their DESIGN, tech support, knowledge, products may be (fill in the blank).
computer companies, stores, etc make good $$$$ through extanded warranty (insurance), and it can be a good thing to have. The general rule is: If it don't break in 3 months, it is not going to break.

Many people could careless (nothing wrong with that), but some people do care.

This is what people who care have to read :/

I don't understand why you are so obsessed with this issue that you need to start two threads on roughly the same topic.

Everyone here realizes what "niggles" has pointed out. PC "manufacturers", whether desktop or laptop, are really just assemblers of parts manufactured by other companies. Heck! Most of us have built our own PC's and already understand just how little the assembler adds to the value of the end product. This isn't anything like a "dirty little secret".

PC's are very nearly a commodity item. You buy the best combination of parts for the best price with due consideration for warranty and service.

is Dell really such a bad company? They provide a quality product at a very cheap price. You can't build something as cheap as dell will sell it to you, period.

Dell is fine, alienware sucks. i was reselling from their same ODM, and they threatened lawsuits at me, saying "comparative advertising is illegal" it was just a friend and myself and we had no money to put up a fight, even though the FTC encourages comparative advertising.

ODM's are a "dirty little secret" to many of the tech illeterate people out there. But then again, so are things like "interest rates" and "life"
