I do (well as much as anyone really can), but I mean come on... LOOK AT THAT THING.

$1.1 billion is really not that outrageous for that. That ship is a third the size of this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allure_of_the_Seas

Class and type: Oasis-class cruise ship Tonnage: 225,282 GT (gross tonnage)[1] Displacement: app. 100,000 tons[4] Length: 361.8 m (1,187 ft 0 in)[1] Beam: 47 m (154 ft) waterline
60.5 m (198 ft) extreme Height: 72 m (236 ft) above water line Draught: 9.3 m (31 ft) Depth: 22.55 m (74 ft) Decks: 18 passenger decks Installed power: 6×Wärtsilä diesel engines
97,000 kW[1] Propulsion: 3 × 20 MW Asea Brown Boveri Azipod, all azimuthing
4 × 5.5 MW Wärtsilä CT3500 bow thrusters Speed: 22.6 kn (41.9 km/h; 26.0 mph) Capacity: 5,400 passengers (lower berths)
6,300 passengers (all berths)[1] Notes: 2 inches longer than Oasis

No I DID read the article "man"... I just did't type 1.1.

Here let me restate my original post:

No way is that being built for $1B. Not even $1.1B. Not even $1.2B
Well, maybe. The Oasis of the Seas is twice the size and cost $1.4B to make.

So half the size but with more amenities.. maybe $1.1B is possible.

Edit: dammit TridenT!

Can we hold a Formula One race there?

http://www.formula1.com/races/in_detail/monaco_855/circuit_diagram.html

the kart track looks like a good representation of the actual gp track. sainte devot, up beau rivage, left thru massenet, right thru casino square (hotel du paris, as our guests would no doubt be aware) then it gets a bit hazy where mirabeau, the hairpin and poitier should be. along the harbor there's no slope to the tunnel exit and a second chicane before tabacconist, swimming pool complex and la rascasse, followed by anthony noges and the finish line.

So.. if I want to play tennis do I tell them to go fly the helicopter around in circles for a while and then come back when im done?

Or maybe they can go out and hunt pirates

Heck, this thing is 100x more bad ass than the Principality of Sealand!

Can we make this boat its own country and make our own laws? Tax shelter? Open a few banks?
