Oh man, where do I begin? I've had hundreds of stitches.

1964: banged head as a toddler. 5 stitches
1971: banged head riding furniture dolley down driveway. 20 stitches
1972: rt foot, big toe sewed back on, scars all over my foot, stupid kid accident. 400+ stitches
1976: rt heel, stepped on glass. 25 stitches
1982: rt hand, drunken prank gone awry in college. 10 stitches
1986: rt thigh, nasty bug bite that got infected in the Army and had to be cut open by a medic, cleaned out and stitched up. 3 stitches
1994: face below my right eye, tractor accident, damn near killed myself: 50 stitches

Makes a grand total of about 513 stitches from accidents. I've got a lot of other scars that didn't require medical attention so they don't count. Then there's the scar from a tatoo I had removed on my right shoulder.

Edited year of first scar, I know I was a year old when that happened, at least that's what my Mom told me.

I have a 6" (vertical) surgical scar straight down my abdomen from having a ruptured spleen removed because of a hockey "accident" ...

Other than that, I've had rip-off-the top-layers-of-skin accidents on my hands from old/sharp metal computer cases ... I need to learn to work carefully or with non-metal cases... ;)

Oh geez...I've had six surgeries in the past eight years. Two of those surgeries left me with eight total and one left me with five.....so that's like 18 - 20 just from surgeries. Ummmm I got my head slammed in a door at age three that left a scar on my head. Various scars from falling and IV's and just general banging up of the limbs.

Just remembered a saying one of my uncles had:

"You're not a man until you've had 200 stitches."

:D

By that logic, I had my tickets all punched by the time I was nine!
