Why does Abbott have so much control as opposed to the federal government? I would think us border security would be managed on a federal level...

Nazis that refused to feed the Jews into the ovens, were shot. I'm hoping that the Border Officers that still have their souls are safe.

I don’t think there was a single verified account of death as a penalty for refusing concentration camp duty. It was a common defence, but debunked. The general consequence was a combat posting on the eastern front, so camp guards were choosing personal safety in exchange for taking part in mass murder.
