Who makes the TFT in my monitor?

Hi. I bought a new TFT at Frys the other day. It was $400 with a $30 MIR I'm tempted to go buy the Soyo one at Office Max on Friday and return this one. That will be a lot of hassle for me though, with a long drive tossed in to boot. If this one I have now has as good a screen as the Soyo at Office Max then I think I'll just keep it even though it does have one stuck, red pixel off to the right a little.

My current monitor is the Envision G416

Does this monitor have the same TFT, or one comparable, to the Soyo being offered at Office Max?

Thanks for the help, I really don't know how to find out on my own.

160 degree viewing angles.

Simple as that.

Though be warned, some manufacturers are now listing things like 170/160 instead of 160/160 for TNs.

The 5 ms & 3000:1 fake contrast ratio confirmed my TN suspicion before i even looked up the specs on it though...

So the non TN panel will, most likely, be listed as

170 degrees Horizontal, 160 degrees Vertical Viewing Angle

And also have 1000:1 posted for a contrast ratio?

No.

176 degree/176 degree

Many different LCDs use dynamic contrast, but it's more prevalent on TNs.
