who makes the best rock solid 939 mobos?

Doom Machine

Senior member
ok last 2 years i've bought several 939 mobo's and none have worked right
i dont plan to oc
and it would be nice for a change if i could get one where standbye mode will work correctly

dfi is out cuz of all their mobo designs, wont fit my case
abit is out cuz they sent me a doa and i couldnt return it cuz of they kept giving me b.s
epox is out cuz had one slowly crap out on me and therefor dont like thier quality.
asrock, was good but now i get boot device error every other reboot and thier too cheap anyway
asus didnt like having 4 sticks of ram and standbye mode didnt work right in any of these, either they bsod, blank screen or reboot after starting backup from standbye

looking for best pci express/939/nforce or via/ good support for 4 dual channel sticks
doesnt all the biostars have dual bioses?..that sounds interesting

whats a saphire board and why?
so far i'm considering asus a8v series, i do really like the look and specs of ecs but several consumers mentioned it diieing after several hours at newegg.com, so far i really havnt seen any mobos that looked very impressive from a design or spec, the ones that do great in reviews wont fit my lc02 case very well from a design standpoint, but open to opinons

well if you have a mobo that starts to lock up during bios tests or have one that shuts off 4 seconds after turning it on then i kinda doubt its user error, my current one is fine except every other reboot i get boot device error..things like that are mobo related and nothing i can do will fix em, my case limits me alot so far it looks like asus a8v-e would suit me best...anyone have any opinons on that board?

i second the user error.

hey i if u still hav ehte abit ax8 hows it running i just sold mine and that was my first board. was FANTASTIC overclocking and stability.
