:p

Actually, Deer PSU have been known to explode in their boxes before they've even been sold.

PC Power and Cooling is the top notch, I love my Antec 400w though.
Heh, that is some funny shizit!! I have a Deer power supply in my old Athlon 650 rig, and believe it or not, it's still running strong after what, five years now. It's only 250watts too. I remember when the Athlons first came out, everyone was saying that you should at least have a 300watt ps, and I was sitting there thinking, "hmm, I wonder how long until I have to replace this thing". Never happened.

i think fry's has an allied for about half what an antec costs... pretty sure allied makes the internals of the antec anyway.

Look at the specs of the P.C.P. and cooling 510 and 400 silencer ................. I think Anand needs to do a new (power supply review)

Antec Truepower gets my vote. I've heard they are very good and my 380W is coming in Thursday or Friday with an Antec Sonata Case... I can't wait!

The Sonata version of the truepower only has 1 fan, so it should be more quiet than the standard Truepower.

i've not been able to confirm this myself. if only someone can. i based my purchase of newegg's allied true 450watt on my suspicion
that allied does make antec's internals (parts or whole). i took a small gamble but the allied true power psu works beautifully -
though its 12v specs are weak compared to an antec truepower of less total wattage,

Asking what people think is the best power supply is best is really subjective. We all have our own opinion on it with what we have used in the past.

I like my Antec TruePower 480W.

When I went to PC Power and Cooling to see what they had, I decided to do the configuration deal and it said I needed a 500+W PSU, yet people have said I don't need 480 for what I run lol. Go figure!

I have Antec and Enermax and both work great. Sparkle, Deer and Fortron are also decent. For the absolute best, go PC Power & Cooling as if all this hasn't been said 100X's above !!!

I like my Enermax ... never had a problem with it, my system has 6 hard drives, 4 optical drives, a tape drive, xp1800, gf4 ti4200, sb audigy, nic, gig o ram, and this 450 (or was it 430 .. i forget) watt PS has never ever given me any problems ...
