I recently was in the position to fix a computer for a company.. the person said the computer would be left alone and get so many popups that it would then freeze, i ran ad-aware 6 with latest updates, installed google toolbar, installed norton and ran liveupdate as well as the autoprotect. the ad-aware removed about 450 things, and norton returned nothing on initial scan. they say that it still gets a few popups.. it looks as though i might just format it and see what happens from there.

before i do that, i figured that i would check on here and see if maybe you guys had an idea?
