get the google toolbar. it has a popup blocker, and u can easily search stuff on google!

Google makes the best freeware blocker, at least for IE. I have yet to find a commercial blocker that is worth paying for, at least for the minor improvements it has over free blockers.

Mozilla/Thunderbird's built-in pop-up blocker and image-blockers are done very well. Not as slick as they could be but pretty good.

I got rid of all the pop-up blockers and cruise the 'net with Mozilla. Saves on memory...

best = proxmitron - a bit hard to configure, initially
easiest no fuss - google toolbar
personal favorite - popupcop

ask me .. dump all those and go with firebird / mozilla

Mozilla. Blocks Pop-ups, adds Tabbs, has the superior(IMO)Netscape Bookmark system.

Firebird.

And watch out for alot of those popup blockers -- many of them are hijackers! Your best bet is just to get away from IE and all of its exploitable holes...

I use Popupcop which isn't free, but it works really well (yes it's for IE).
Google toolbar is good for a free ap.

The blocker that comes with the Mozilla/Firebird and Opera browsers works the best IMHO.
