Who makes the best french fries?

Locut0s

Lifer
Personally I say the old European style fries fried in lard wrapped in a paper cup/cone with vinegar, ketchup and or mayo. Yum Yum!! But I don't know any place that makes them this way here. There is a shop down town here that does something similar I have yet to try. Barring that of the big name places New York fries comes to mind as having good fries. So in your mind who makes the best?

this place called central park, don't know if they have any other places nationally but damn they are good

Yeah it's european. I saw those for the first time in Amsterdamn and UK and was like wtf? with mayo in a cone? I never saw them here in Boston

As far as chains go: New York Fries hands down. Their hot dogs are awesome too.

As for locally where I live we have this place called Don's they make the most insanely good Poutine. like OMG, to die for, and that's literal, as it probably knocks a few days off your life eating one. that stuff is so bad for you, but yet, so good!

The citizens of GB beg to disagree. Old style there was (is ?) thick cut fries with malt vinegar as the condiment served in a cone fashioned from rolled up newpaper -- cod served the same way.

I was at this restaurant called Market Table in the Village and it has the best fries ever. I always liked McDonalds fries too.

The term french fries refers to french cut, which means to cut length wise, nothing to do with the mime sissies.

ewww Wendy's fries are horrible, they have a terrible after taste. Burger King is even worse, their fries taste chemically treated. McDonalds are just ok.

I  McDonalds fries when they're fresh and hot, sadly I never seem to get them when they are like that 🙁

oh btw they're freedom fries!
