Who makes the best cordless telephone/answering machine combos?

Panasonic and Uniden make good phone sets. Even the old 900MHz Unidens are more than good enough for most home use - I have the DX386-2 set. You can get a refurb one with a TAD as well as a second remote handset for as low as $20. or 30. at places like geeks.com and outpost.com. I don't particularly care for Vtech (which also makes the AT&T brand).
. I've heard that Sanyo phone systems are also excellent, but I can never seem to find one when I need to buy so I can't say from personal experience. Perhaps they don't make them any more.

Do 2.4 gHz cordless phones definitely interfere with wireless networks?

If so, what does it cause: slower connections or dropped connections or other?
