Anyone have a list of some of the folks that make these.

Yes I know that they are just regular monitors put on a single stand, but boss guy wants one that is out of the box two on one stand, nothing that has to be built.

Newegg does this, you just select "2" in the quantity box when ordering.

Then get a piece of plywood and stick it under the two monitors and you have your one stand :D

I believe this is what you are looking for Dual LCD Stand

Negative, that's just the stand.

Need something more like:

This

That's just exactly the same except on your link you are buying both monitors and stand from the same source. Otherwise, it's nothing but two monitors mounted on a Dual LCD Stand! In fact, if you decide to buy this item you will still have to assemble it, which is no different if you buy the stand, and two monitors from the previous link.

If you have no preference for what type of monitors, you can go with your link. If you prefer a specific monitor, I recommend the previous link. Either way will work.

I know, but boss guy wants to be able to say he owns "so and so" monitor system. He's big into spending money and being able to drop names. Dumb. Yeah I can build one for 1/3 the price, but he doesn't want to say he had a computer guy build it.

Well if that is the case and cost is not an issue then go with your link. Better yet, offer him the three monitor unit which should about cover the entire length of his desk.

My workstation at work is 2 NEC 19" lcds on a the stand shown in that second link; the monitor arrays. By that I mean it's that exact same stand, the logo is even there although I can't think of what is says for the life of me atm. The stand works great, it's extremely sturdy and offers plenty of adjustability that's extremely easy to make. Obviously theres gonna be some assembly required, but it's pretty basic stuff. When we got them about a year ago it took me maybe 10 minutes to get everything setup, including taking my old crt to a dark, secluded corner so I wouldn't ever have to look at it again. If you need I can get the name/manufacturer of just the stand if you would want to purchase the lcds seperately. The stand comes with several different style mounting brackets to fit different lcds so compatabilty shouldn't really be an issue. After that the adjustments/mounting is done with a big knob with a threaded stud so once the mounting bracket is in place it's completely tool less.

From the sounds of your boss though, you may want to put a big lightning bolt on the base and come up with a crafty name and just add "tron" to the end so he's got a cool & expensive sounding name to drop.
