Who makes Lite-On 12x DVD?

Is it a rebadged drive made by another manufacturer, or does Lite-On manufacture its own? I was skimming through their site, and I didn't really pick up much info. I'm also interested in MTBF(or MTTF). While someone's answering my question, if you could throw me a link or two to DVD-drive review sites, I'd appreciate it. Thx.
