What do you mean AA is a sweatshop?

theres a few documentaries and articles out there about AA running sweatshop like conditions in their factories. yes, theyre on american soil in the usa, but the conditions and treatment are no better than a "sweatshop" in asia somewhere

except for you know, minimum wage laws and all that jazz

Other way around. Ever hear of a sport with horses and whacky sticks?

Did you know that only Volkswagen can make real Golf shirts?

This is what I found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Apparel

Also, Behindthelabel.org, an online magazine funded by UNITE HERE, reported union busting in the LA-based factory in September 2003.[citation needed] It is reported that the workers wanted to form a union to address issues concerning no paid time off, lack of affordable healthcare, production methods, and poor treatment by supervisors.[citation needed] However, as soon as organizing efforts began, the American Apparel employees countered with an anti-union rally.[citation needed] It is worth noting that on another occasion, the workers staged a walk out when management switched the sewing procedure to one they felt would earn them less.[citation needed] The incident was reported to the National Labor Relations Board for violations of Federal labor laws, and a no fault settlement was eventually reached with the NLRB.[citation needed] American Apparel now posts in their production facility a document agreeing not to conduct any anti-union activities.[citation needed]

American Apparel's union status has not been reported since[13], and the company refuses to respond to correspondence or inquiries regarding union status.[citation needed]

Sure, but who calls it a tennis shirt still? And why was it called a tennis shirt in the first place?

Duh, I didn't even think about the sport "Polo". I guess it is a type. Now leave it up to Ralph Lauren to totaly cash in on that. Designing a whole line of clothes around a sport. hehe.

I always tell her not to take pity on homeless delinquents, but I guess she won't ever listen.

Not only are you obscenely arrogant, you're also now incomprehensible. What gives?

I have never heard of AA being referred to as a sweatshop except by those that have no idea on anything.

Here is an ABC blurb on them: Text

Where did you hear otherwise, the Onion?
