mcdonalds fries are my favorite.. i like them with ketchup.. i like to ask for a bag, a couple packets of pepper and salt (if they're not salty enough).. throw fries and pepper in the bag, and shake.. perfectly seasoned fries.. yummy

by the way, does anyone know how to make fries like mcd does? i tried searching top secret recipes for it, and i had to buy the recipe, and that's not cool.. so yah.. anyone?

Buy the cheapest frozen shoestring fries you can, then fry them in vegetable oil in a skillet on your stove. Heat the oil first, and add a little salt. They use beef tallow as well, I'm not sure exactly what you'd use for that. But just doing it the way I describe comes really close to theirs (although mine always end up better). I think the fries I use are usually about 60-90 cents per bag.

The poll is flawed because the popularity of the fries conincides with availability of those restaurants. Of course McDonalds is gonna be #1 because they are found coast to coast and overseas as well. We don't have Big Boy or In-N-Out on the east coast for example.

Arby's food is mostly crap I don't like.
Arby's Curly fries are a clear exception to this generalization.
Arby's Curly Fries > All other fries.

Also, BBQ sauce is my preferred condiment.

I live on the east coast, and there is a Big Boy in most parts of town.

THere is a place called "El Famous Burrito" around here...and they have these cheap fries that they cook in the grease they use for their tortilla chips...and they are Fvcking AMAZING

There is a Belgium Frites Restaurant on Broadway in New York City that make the best fries I have tasted since McDonalds quit using lard. The Belgium Frites uses good quality fresh potatoes and a fryer built specifically for potatoes Rudy's in New Haven also serves the same Belgium Frites.

They offer more than 15 different sauces to go with the fries.

Checkers, FTW. MickeyD's have the worst fries out of all the stores up there (way too skinny and small, tasteless cept for oil). [never been to in-n-out or hardee's].

But fresh french fries (without frozen potatoes) are so much better. The potato loses its rich flavor when frozen.

why does anyone bother with these threads? it's ALL subjective, which means that everyone opinion is right.

but to go off and say, things like
MickeyD's have the worst fries out of all the stores up there (way too skinny and small, tasteless cept for oil)
is kind of stupid.

let's put it this way. everyone is entitled to their own opinions. BUT the point of a poll is to find out which opinion is more prevalent. at this point in the poll with over 150 votes, we could say we have a sampling. the sampling CLEARLY shows people prefer McD's fries over all others.

so , thesurge, your opinion is a minority opinion and is as close to being "wrong" as you can. because as i said earlier, there are no wrong subjective opinions. 😉

I picked Arby's for the poll, with McD's and Wendy's a close second.

ketchup for my secondary choices, curly fries i prefer plain.

i don't have a preference for container
