This is really getting old. Who here has never had a problem with an Antec case?

I love my KS-188. It's built like a tank. PS puts out voltages within 2% of rated voltage.

nothin but butta, baby. I got my antec sx1030b today, dremeled out the lower front fan grill so I could mount a 92mm instead, gave my finger a 2nd degree burn because I forgot the dremel cuts based on FRICTION, and FRICTION causes HEAT :) haha.

putting it all together..

whoah... now that was definitely the easiest time I've had. the civic-like side door makes it easy to go in and fix any screwups too. I had the polarity switched on my led's and pc speaker. *click* switch, done. i forgot to put the floppy cable back on from when I transferred everything to that case. once again, click, done.

temp differences:
supermicro full atx tower (6+2+2 bays) that I got back when the 233mmx was the height of technology:
idle-35C
under load-60C

sx1030b:
idle-27C
under load-50C
:D gee, can you tell I'm happy? asus probe reports the PS is doing fine and all is well too. the thought "boo-yah" kept popping into my mind for some reason :D hehe

Let's see tough as hell, great cooling, one of the best power supplies I've ever used, easy access, best damn drives rails I've ever seen, good customer service (except according to Hagbard they don't like Canadians....sucks to be them), pretty damn smooth looking, best hard drive cage system I've seen. Only complaints:

Handle interferes with having a fan directly over pocessor.

It would be nice if the top was removable

Removable MoBo tray would be handy every once in a while

Let see that makes it 8 plus, 4 minus (3 if you're not Canadian). Looks like Antec is good by me.

Or as we in Victoria BC are fond of saying:

"If its tourist season, why can't we shoot'em?"

We love our American cousins...every Canadian has their own "dumb yankee tourist" story to share.

;)

I love my SX1030. In fact, I sold my soul to Antec right after I bought it. Now I have to p1mp my case in every "Which case should I buy?" thread :)

jsmonet - I've been reading recently that blowholes are actually not good for airflow so I'm not going to mess with the side panels of my SX1030. With all 4 fans and a slot cooler, my mobo temp is within 3F of room temp after runnning 8+ hours @ 100% CPU utilization. The case is doing a great job as it is ;) Blowholes do look damn cool though. I put one in the Superpower case I had before this one. It did help airflow in that case because it did not have such an efficent fan mounting system.

I have an SX830, and my dad has an SX1030. Both cases are great, I can fit anything inside these things. The only problem is that they're pretty big and heavy.

hehehe ;) great topic title.. Hagbard im trully sorry that you had so many problems, its a great case!(now zip it!) :D got my sx830 here with my new Thunderbird 900@1050 on a KT7A-Raid... Cools very nicely.. right now im pretty much idle at 78F CPU! room temp is 68F actually this seems quite low to me.. and I think its due to the socket heat sensor. I max out at 105F during mp3 encoding. my only complaint is that it is a big bastardly case, and quite a chore to move. Good Job Antec! But please try to take care of our friends up north better!
I would rather not have to deal with another Hagbard in the forums ;)

dantzig: but i REALLY want to mount my 120mm panaflow :D haha, it actually makes a little sense. something about turbulence.. we'll see. I still may do it.

I think I may just take one of the 80mm from the back and mount it in the front somewhere, then replace it with my other antec 92mm. hehe

I'm maxing out at 50C.. that doesn't seem too bad. we'll see.

just saw this over on antecs site!

Antec is the NUMBER 1 selling case manufacturer in North America! The final numbers for 2000 from PC Data show that not only is Antec number one in both the retail and distribution markets but that we actually gained substantial market share. We at Antec would like to say thank you to all of our customers for helping us achieve this level of success and we look forward to serving you in the future.

Guess all the recommendations and props on all the hardware forums really put them over the top! :D

WERD! I can't wait to build another system in the future (probably in 3-4 years since I just built one recently). Wonder what kind of cases they'll have then. Hopefully a variant of the SX1030 where the door goes up and down instead of hinging left or right. Either that or at least make the door hinge both ways...

Antec ks-188 with 300W PS. I'm very pleased with it. I have 6 HD and CDRW and Livedrive. Still more room to expand.

Well, lets see...

What more would I like in my SX-1030. . . . . thinking. . . .

How about motorized retractable sides that work like a garage door?

Oh, forgot the button on the front that controls the retractable sides.
