Who likes Star Trek!!! :)

For some reason, I just love this old game. It's called Star Trek Bridge Commander 😛

Your the captain of a...well...starship.

Now, by its self the game is pretty boring and a POS but with mods it really shines.

Not sure why I still love this game. It has old graphics, but I just like space sh!t like this. Not sure if anyone really cares, but I do 🙂

Place to get mods

Pretty much everything below is required to make BC a really good space/Star Trek game:

BC1.1 patch

Best Mod of all time.
Patch for Best Mod of all time
Pimped out version for the patch for the best mod of all time 😛

Now, I know what your thinking. This may seem stupid, but I just like the game and I'd thought I might share it 😉

And yes, I really need to get more of this thing you call a life.

Good Star Trek games are few and far between. ST: The 25th Anniversary and the Elite Force games I think are the only really good Trek games that were ever made.

True, which makes me wonder how Star Trek Online will turn out.

agreed

. . . strange . . . i hated many games you really like
:Q

. . . but then i agree with you that DE:IW is an exceptional game in its own right. 😀

isn't Bridge Commander a Sim? . . . if so, it - or a demo - didn't last very long on my HD. 😛

oh yeah . . . . i DO like ST . .. . . very few PC games do the franchise any justice - except for Elite Forces. 😉

I have tried both Elite Forces, they aren't bad, but I have always and still do think of Star Trek as more of a Tactical Game like Rainbow 6. After watching all the Star Trek shows from original to Voyager (minus Enterprise), when have you ever seen anyone run and gunning?

Also, I liked Bridge Commander, but didn't buy it (just demo).; I couldn't kill anything, had to resort to targetting their bridge, and I still lost :|.

Starfleet Command 2 is the best ST game I ever played. It had outstanding multiplayer. Star Trek Legacy looks promising. It's being made by many of the same devs who worked on the SFC series.

I get that a lot. 😉
that's 'cause you are on the record for defending some really unpopular games . . . one i really like also [i.e. DE:IW]
😛

curious, have you played Oblivion?

unless i am mistaken, there was a demo for Bridge Commander. 😉

Bridge Commander is great. Probably the best Trek game I've played!

Having Picard (voiced by P. Stewart himself) walk you through the first mission sent chills down my spine.

Nah, it doesn't really interest me.

it is to RPG what DE:IW is to FPS . . . .

an exceptional hybred RPG that plays like a FPS 😉

. . . and i guess Bridge Commander and Oblivion have Patrick Stewart in common.
:Q

😀
