sounds like something ibm thought of in a desperate attempt to be tragically hip and bury away the pain of a botched OS they just couldn't let die.
 
i bet someone could make a virus to do that. itd be one hell of an acomplishment. but than a linux user would have to use vbscript.

i guess the virus could install a program to retrieve files from an FTP site. maybe create a small linux filesystem in an fat32 partition. hmm, yummy.
