Wow---Double shot

Here in Indy, we are going to have the "SUPER COMPUTER SALE" and also the "super golf sale"

No, the all caps/all lowercase is not a mistake.

The "SUPER COMPUTER SALE" has this excited voice subliminally telling you "this is going to be the greatest event ever and you will be an idiot for not attending".

The "super golf sale" has the same guy's voice, only he sounds alot less thrilled about the event, and is subliminally telling you that, "yeah, its the super dooper golf sale, whoopity doo"

I guess maybe I watch too much TV...Can you tell I am unemployed?

The super computer sales in michigan are so so. Nothing all that great. You can always find better prices online, even after including shipping. You can try if you want. I think if you're a student and have your id they'll knock off a dollar. Same if you bring the little postcard if you got one in the mail. I've been to the one in westlans a few times. Farmington Hills also.

Where ya from? =P

This is the better show promotor in Michigan:
Show shedual

I havent been to a show in a couple years. Don't feel as I am missing much, but it is a good way to establish a few local contacts for when you need them. Not always the greatest prices, typical show junk.

The show in Madison Heights is supposed to be the best for SE Michigan, Livinia and Flint are small shows.

Good Luck

Around here we have Tri State Fairs. They have all the vendors from New York City and typically items can be had for pretty close to pricewatch prices. Take into the fact that you can get the lowest prices on everything by going to the different vendors at the show and you'll end up with a cheaper price. The shows are $5 - $6 and they have a $1 off coupon on their page.

I have been to the www.fivestarshows.com one in Flint. Hardly enough vendors for the $5 less $1 coupon admission. Saw a couple of ripoff artists in there. Only good deal was bought out before I got there. Good Enlight case and 300w PS. Better for me, I got the Antec KS-282 instead.
So I won't do them again.

Is this show "supercomputer" the one that goes to the Gibralter Trade Center in Mt.Clemans?

i went to the chicago one this past weekend, and there weren't very many good deals, and it was crowded and hot....i bought a few cables and some older programming books...that's about it....unlucky for me, i had to pay for parking also...$12 for parking and $7 for admission...wasn't worth it for me....my 2 cents

DO NO GO TO THE NOVI SALES! They are totally a rip-off. I went two years ago, and the selection was crappy and everything was low-quality. Don't forget, that you also will get NAILED for parking at the Novi Expo Center as well (something between 5-7 more dollars). Just stick to the local shows like Westland, Livonia, and Taylor. The people there are more reputible, nicer, and cheaper.
Just go there. :)
I see SE MI is definitely present on Anandtech. :)
