Who knows anything about 1995 BMW 5 series cars?

I am thinking about getting one. Anyone here know anything about them good/bad?
I drove a 98 328 the otherday, and it was nice.
I have not found a 95 325 to compare it too yet.

ok, u ask about 5 series in the title, but you're talking about 3 series in your post? glen, which is it? any bmw post 92 should be just fine as they had addressed almost all of the quality concerns that plagued them so much, at least imho

Well, I don't know anything about the 5 series but I do own a 95 325i and I like it.

The 98 328 has a bigger engine than the 325 (2.8 vs. 2.5), the rims are different, the paint jobs on 95s aren't as nice as 98 (the 98s seem more glossy), interior is basically the same and the 95s may not have a built in CD.

I hope you are getting a 5 speed. It would be a waste not to on a 3 series BMW.

I had a new 1995 540i 6-speed. It was probably the sweetest car overall that I ever owned. If you find a 5 series with all the service records to ensure it was taken care of it should be reliable.

Doh! I was falling asleep typing. You guys ever do that?

I absolutely love my 95 325i, but go with the newest car possible when looking at BMWs. Parts fail on them because of age more than because of mileage.

Yeah, I agree with Gaul, get the newest possible Bimmer if you are getting one. I just took my car in for it's 75K maintenance and those suckers wanted $1,000! Now I'm probably going to put that off and just sell my car because I really don't want to put that much into my car. I'll just trade it back to a dealer and have them take it off the final price of a new car.
